Laredo, Texas – (January 10, 2019) – The Business Development Committee of the Laredo Chamber of Commerce recognized 36 individuals that successfully completed the 2018 Business Development Certification Program. Miguel A. Conchas, President/CEO, joined the committee in congratulating and recognizing all participants. The objective of the Business Development Committee is to promote and gather valuable business development resources for chamber members to support all forms of business in the community.
Launched in 2017, the Laredo Chamber of Commerce offered professional training seminars to enrich the talents of today’s workforce. Program topics were designed for managers, supervisors, team leaders and team members, providing the essential tools to business growth and success.
“The Laredo Chamber of Commerce is always committed to serve the business community through various educational events and seminars, and we are delighted to recognize these thirty-six individuals that successfully completed the program by presenting them with their certification” said Ana Rivera-Soto, Chairman of the Business Development Committee. In 2018, the Chamber offered a total of 9 professional training seminars to enrich the workforce of more than 60 small businesses with the participation of an average of 73 employees per month – a benefit that Chamber members were able to take advantage of at completely no cost.
Each educational workshop was presented by highly respected individuals in the field and proudly sponsored by Falcon International Bank.

A total of 18 individuals were pre
sented with their BDC lapel pin and Certificate of completion by the Business Development Committee at a breakfast ceremony hosted by Falcon International Bank. The BDC program offered by the Laredo Chamber of Commerce reached more than 600 employees in 2018.
