The purpose of this scholarship competition,  established in 2019 by the Education Committee of the Laredo Chamber of Commerce, is to provide financial opportunities for interested graduating students while also instilling a sense of community pride in young adults. The competition recognizes graduates’ creativity and academic achievement.

Participants must submit a 90-second (or less) video addressing all 3 topics listed below.

1)What barriers or challenges do you think prevent young people from seeing Laredo as an attractive place to live, work, or              visit? How would you address these challenges to change that perception?

2)What are your academic and career goals?

3) Reflect on a time when you questioned or challenged a belief or idea. What prompted your thinking?

The Education Committee of the Laredo Chamber of Commerce Foundation is sponsoring the competition with matching funds from Killam Development, which will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, March 28 at the Laredo Country Club.
